Daily Gratitude – Day 450

Today I Am grateful for finally having a conversation I needed to have weeks ago – an honest, open conversation that helps bring about clarity and closure. A buttload of pain, grief and need for self-forgiveness as well, but clarity and closure nonetheless.

I Am also grateful for keeping our Little Boy David home one last day after being rather sick all week. He’s feeling better, but needed to rest one last day, and now that he’s feeling better, he simply wanted to play most of the day, or be held, or somehow else occupy my attention. After spending the better part of two years having to divide my attention between catering to him and working from home, I needed his attention today as much as he needed mine – it was not a day meant for working for me. One last opportunity to savor such precious moments.

I Am grateful further for my brother-in-law Steve and sister-in-law Ayza. Today was Steve’s birthday, and ironically today we received some gifts they sent to the boys, including Jacob’s belated birthday gift – Frozen on DVD! We Skyped with them to say thank you and to wish Steve a happy birthday.

It’s good to know that some people will always remain family no matter what. I sense that may not be true for everyone in our family, but I Am surely grateful for those for whom it applies.

Namaste,
Brian
