Today I Am grateful for a wonderful meeting over coffee with an old and dear friend. Eighteen years is far too long between such meetings. We certainly won’t let as much time pass again!
I Am also grateful for being able to make it to the Center for Spiritual Living North Jersey in time to hear Rev. Joel Fotinos’ talk. It was really everything I needed to hear right now – everything that has been keeping me optimistic through this difficult phase of my life, rolled up into a brilliant sermon. Mainly it was about how when you pray for what you want, you don’t always get it, and that’s often because your prayer comes from your “lower self,” a place of lack, or a place of misconception. Your prayers are answered to favor your higher self – to bring you what it is you really need, which is usually much, much better than what it is you think you want at the time. I Am especially grateful for it, as the recording of it happened to fail – and I use the recordings to make their podcasts, so I would have missed the message otherwise. I will still retain it in my heart and mind, even if it will still take a while to sink in…
